How do I connect the GOULY controller to my home Wi-Fi network?

1. Download the correct GOULY app for your controller from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

2. Connect your phone to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and enable Bluetooth.

3. Power on the controller and keep your phone and controller close to the Wi-Fi router during setup.

4. Open the app, select Add Device, and follow the on-screen pairing instructions.

5. Allow up to two minutes for the connection to complete. If pairing fails, confirm that the Wi-Fi password is correct and try resetting the controller.

Why can't my GOULY controller connect to Wi-Fi?

Please confirm that your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, as some controllers do not support 5 GHz-only networks. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled, the app has the required permissions, and the controller is close to the router.

Also check that the Wi-Fi password is correct and that your phone and controller are connecting to the same network. If the problem continues, reset the controller and repeat the pairing process.

Can I control my lights without Wi-Fi?

Compatible GOULY controllers can be controlled locally through Bluetooth when Wi-Fi is unavailable. However, remote access, cloud control, voice control, device sharing and some group functions may require a Wi-Fi connection. Available functions depend on the controller model and the GOULY app being used.

 

Can I control the lights from multiple devices?

Yes. The primary account can share supported devices with other users through the device-sharing function in the GOULY app. Group control may also be available when compatible controllers are connected to Wi-Fi. Features can vary by controller model and app version.

How do I set the brightness and color of the LED lights?

  • With the app, you can easily adjust the brightness and color of the LED lights. The application provides a color wheel, R, G, B color control sliders, and a color temperature slider for color and brightness customization.

My LED light does not respond to the control commands in the app, what should I do?
  • Make sure both your LED light and WiFi controller are in working condition;
  • Sometimes, restarting the controller and the light can resolve communication issues. Also check that the app has been updated to the latest version.
Is it possible to automatically control the LED lights to turn on and off by schedule?
  • Yes, our Smart LED WiFi Controller app allows you to create different schedules for automatic control. You can set up daily, weekly or yearly timed tasks.
Can I use voice assistants such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control the LED lights?
  • Yes, our Smart LED WiFi Controller features integration with voice-activated assistants that allow you to control the LED lights via voice commands, supported voice devices include: Alexa, Google Assistant, DuerOS Xiaodu.

Are these controllers compatible with all types of LED lights?

  • Not all LED lights are compatible with all controllers, our led smart controllers support 15 IC types of common led on the market (including WS2811, UCS2904, UCS1903, TM1812, etc. For more information about the models, please check the WiFi controller parameter table in the product accessories). So before purchasing, please make sure the controller is compatible with the IC type of your LED lights.

Can I use multiple LED WiFi controllers to control LED lights in different zones?

  • Yes, our WiFi smart controllers have a group control function, which allows you to use a single controller as a group master to control multiple controllers for different groups of LED lights individually for more precise and colorful wider lighting control.

How to solve the part of lights just keep blinking?

  • The first way is add a amplifier to the front of extension cable connector where you use such between the controller to the lights.

  • The second way is add more power supply. Make sure you need to inject power every about 10-20meters.

LED color mismatch or abnormality

  • Check the settings of the LED controller to make sure the selected color mode and IC type are the same as the lamp.

  • Check if the connection line and power supply are stable.

  • It may be necessary to reconnect and update the controller.

The LED pixel light suddenly flickers or goes out while in use

  • Check that the supply voltage is stable and that there are no voltage fluctuations.

  • Check the LED connections, there may be loose or damaged connections.

  • Check if the controller and driver are working properly.
